Trail 2 from the book: starting from Moon Gate, Route A then to Station 84. We couldn't find Route B while we were in the woods. We've done the Jeep Road to 84 before.
Pleasantly surprised to find Starbucks collaborates with the local nature groups.
Our starting point - the Moon Gate
Station 5, also a tea kiosk with some gym equipment
Walking through the woods, took us about 1.5 hours to get to 84. At one point we thought we got lost because we had been walking for so long..
Finally we heard sounds of motorbikes and came out to the Jeep Road to see Station 84. Ping2 had not plan to go up Penang Hill but the guys were enthusiastic so up we went!
Grace Dieu Bungalow - I need to find out if we can visit or if it's a private residence..
Finally we arrived at Penang Hill!
See the blue backdrop? It has all three types of cable cars on it: the left one is the oldest one, the right one is the one I took when I was young, and the middle one is the newest, hi-tech one which I haven't tried.
The old cable car looks like this
Now they have this take-a-picture-with-a-snake attraction.. I pity the snake..
Bukit Bendera - literal translation is "Flag Hill", aka Penang Hill
The entrance/exit to the cable cars
The cable car tracks
The entrance/exit to the Hill - lots of tourists that day
Trees grow tall in the woods.. loving the blue sky
Our beloved city, still a little smoggy
Our lunch, Wan Ton Mee

We had a second breakfast at the tiny food court and took the same route going back.

In total, it took us about 5 hours taking the nature trail up to Penang Hill and back. Good thing there was no wild boar encounter again..
